Project Faculty Position in Structural Engineering at NCHU, Taiwan

The Department of Civil Engineering at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) invites applications for a possible faculty position in structural engineering, available on August 1, 2026, at the level of project-based assistant professor. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both Chinese and English, develop strong research programs in structural engineering, supervise graduate students, and be involved in service to the university and the profession.
The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering with specialties on earthquake engineering and reinforced concrete element research.
Applications should be received by March 17, 2026.
 
The application package should include:
1. A detailed curriculum vitae.
2. A statement of career goals and teaching plans.
3. Photocopies of the Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. diplomas.
4. An abstract of the Ph.D. dissertation.
5. A list of publications (with the TSCI, SSCI, SCI, or EI indices).
6. One representative SCI paper (published after 2021/8/1) and copies of the major publications in the past 7 years (published after 2019/8/1)
7. Supplemental information (e.g., projects, research plans, special honors, etc.).
