NCHU’s Graduate Institute of National Policy and Public Affairs was approved by the Ministry of Education to start Masters Program in Vietnam

The Graduate Institute of National Policy and Public Affairs at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) will begin recruiting students in Vietnam for its Master program beginning in February 2020. The Ministry of Education has approved the School of Law and Politics of NCHU will open a special class for overseas masters in Vietnam. As approved by the Ministry of Education, the enrollment quota is 30 students for each academia year. This program is co-established by Center for Excellence in Leadership and Management (CELM) at National Academy of Education Management in Vietnam. The program is open mainly for those high ranked government officials in Vietnam. It is aimed that the program would train these officials through practical management courses and eventually improve their local government leadership ability and accumulation of public governance experience, strengthen linkage between Vietnamese high ranked government officials and Taiwan for a win-win cooperation.
This special class was established by the Graduate Institute of NCHU in cooperation with the Center for Excellence in Leadership and Management (CELM) established by Vietnam's National Academy of Education Management. The main enrollment targets are local high-level public servants. Through the academic training of NCHU and practical management, the company can benefit from the improvement of local government leadership and the accumulation of public governance energy, strengthen the link between Vietnamese high-level government personnel and Taiwan, and create a win-win cooperation.
In recent years, the government has been promoting "New Southbound Policy". In fact, NCHU has an excellent faculty, strong foundation in academic research, and well-achieved industry-university cooperation. Cooperating with CELM in establishing the in-service master’s program help meet the needs of Vietnamese in civil services on management and public affairs knowledge that would foster leadership in public governance skills.
In addition, one of the areas in the government's southbound policy is promoting higher education and encouraging knowledge in the south. The establishment of the in-service master's degree program in Vietnam is not only in line with the national development goals, but also in line with NCHU’s development.
