An International Event

We are pleased to announce that National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) will host the 4th International Conference on Supply Chain Management and Information Systems (SCMIS) on 5th – 7th of July 2006. The Conference will take place at NCHU and Splendor Hotel Taichung, Taiwan.
 

Conference Aims

The conference aims to:
•  Explore the importance of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Information Systems (IS) for globalisation .
•  Identify major challenges and development for SCM, IS and also logistics.
•  Illustrate the impact and current status of policy making on SCM, IS and logistics.
•  Recognise effective and efficient ways by which policy making and business strategy can be integrated for improved SCM, IS and logistics planning and implementation.

 

Scope of the Conference

Authors are invited to submit papers on all aspects of the most recent global business issues including:

•  Suppliers Network Management
•  E-supply chain management
•  Logistics and Distribution
•  E-logistics
•  Information Systems and Technologies
•  Business Outsourcing
•  E-Business and E-commerce Approaches
•  Benchmarking and Methodology
•  Strategic Operations Management
•  Business and Manufacturing Strategies
•  Production Planning and Control
•  MRPII / ERP/ CRM / SCM
•  RFID / EDI / VMI / 3PL
•  Business Models / Tools / Techniques
•  Security and Supply Chain Risk Management

Extended abstract acceptance notification

Receipt of camera ready full-length paper

 

15-03-2006

 

Final acceptance of papers for presentation/publication

 

15-04-2006

 

Payment deadline for inclusion of paper in proceedings

 

6 May 2006

 

Conference Opens

 

5 July 2006

Submit your paper's extended abstract by e-mail to scmis2006@nchu.edu.tw 
All submissions should be in Ms Word format (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat format (.pdf) and must be received by SCMIS secretariat no later than 15-12-2005 .
