【停機公告】學生電子郵件系統升級公告Student Email System Upgrade Notification

各位電子郵件使用者 您好：
 
為提升電子郵件系統安全性，本校學生電子郵件系統將進行軟體系統升級，作業期間將停止服務，造成不便之處敬請見諒。
 
時間：
2025/04/28(一) 17:30 ~ 21:30
(視作業進度開放服務，進度將於學校首頁最新消息公告)
 
影響範圍：
學生電子郵件(@mail.nchu.edu.tw ) 將暫時停止收發信服務(POP3,IMAP,SMTP) 及WebMail登入服務。
(服務停止時間寄入您信箱的信，將進入暫存區，不會遺失)
 
其他事項：
此次升級使用上功能不會有變動，主要目的是提升系統安全性及修正已知問題，如下說明：
1.安全性提升
提升系統的安全防護機制，對您個人帳號的更完善保護，並修正已知問題。
2.Webmail 首頁更動
Webmail 首頁採用更安全的架構重新設計，並且使電子郵件相關訊息更簡潔明瞭。

3.Webmail 操作界面改善
使用新版的操作界面，更直覺好操作。
4.Webmail與興大單一入口密碼不再同步
升級後，您仍可透過單一入口代簽直接進入郵件系統。但因新版單一入口已不支援密碼同步，電子郵件密碼與單一入口密碼將為兩組不同密碼。若您不透過單一入口使用郵件系統，請使用電子郵件密碼登入。

Dear Student Email Users,
To enhance the security of our email system, the student email service of the university will undergo a software upgrade. During the upgrade, the service will be temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Schedule:
April 28, 2025 (Monday) from 17:30 to 21:30
(Service may resume earlier depending on the progress. Updates will be announced in the latest news section on the university homepage.)

Affected Services:
The student email service (@mail.nchu.edu.tw) will be temporarily suspended, including email sending and receiving (POP3, IMAP, SMTP) and WebMail login access.
(Emails sent to your inbox during the downtime will be stored in a temporary buffer and will not be lost.)

Additional Information:
This upgrade will not change how you use the email system. The primary purpose is to improve security and fix known issues, as detailed below:
  1. Security Enhancement
    The system's security mechanisms will be strengthened for better protection of personal accounts, and known issues will be resolved.
  2. Redesigned WebMail Homepage
    The WebMail homepage will adopt a more secure architecture and offer a cleaner, clearer presentation of email-related information.
  3. Improved WebMail User Interface
    The new interface is more intuitive and user-friendly.
  4. Email Password No Longer Synced with NCHU SSO
    After the upgrade, you can still access the email system through the NCHU Single Sign-On (SSO) portal. However, since the new SSO no longer supports password synchronization, your email password and SSO password will no longer be synchronized and will become two separate credentials. If you do not use the SSO portal, please use your email password to log in.
