【轉知】衛生福利部製作「禁止攜帶電子煙或加熱菸入境」之英日韓三國語言版本宣導單張各一張[Forwarded Notice] Multilingual Educational Leaflets on “Prohibition of Bringing E-Cigarettes and Heated Tobacco Products into Taiwan”
In accordance with Article 15, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 and Paragraph 2 of the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act, no person may import electronic cigarettes or designated tobacco products (such as heated tobacco products) and their necessary components unless they have been approved through a health risk assessment by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW).
Currently, no designated tobacco products or related components have been approved by the MOHW.

Businesses illegally importing such products may face fines of up to NT$50 million.

Travelers bringing heated tobacco products into Taiwan are subject to fines ranging from NT$50,000 to NT$5 million.
To enhance awareness among non-Taiwanese travelers, the MOHW has produced multilingual informational leaflets titled “Prohibition of Bringing E-Cigarettes or Heated Tobacco Products into Taiwan”, available in English, Japanese, and Korean (see attachments).
Please assist in informing faculty, staff, and students, and in posting the materials on electronic bulletin boards and noticeboards.
