Subject:  Enrollment Limit: Scientific Technical Writing-I

Dr. Franklin Chen is here. I will be the instructor for the Scientific Technical Writing (I) of the fall semester, 2008.  I believe that the best way to learn about the technical writing is to practice writing yourself. Thus, you will expect many writing assignments this semester.  To be more specific, each student will be required to write four term papers to complete the course.

Because this is a writing-emphasized course, there is a limit on how many students an instructor can best serve in this course. The limit will be 20 students.

The previous instructor (Dr. Tau) had allowed 30 students initially for the enrollment and had eliminated 10 students on the screening examination. I will allow 25 students initially for the enrollment and will eliminate 5 students on the screening examination.
