On April 8, the Academia-Industry Consortium for Science Parks in Central Taiwan held its election for the ninth board of directors, supervisors, and chairman. Among a pool of highly qualified candidates, Dr. Fuh-Jyh Jan, President of National Chung Hsing University, was elected as the new chairman with an overwhelming number of votes.
The Consortium’s mission is to bring together universities, enterprises, and government agencies in central Taiwan to jointly promote collaboration in industry, academia, and workforce training. Through cross-sector resource sharing, it aims to enhance the overall competitiveness of high-tech industries within the Central Taiwan Science Park.
Chairman Jan expressed deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility upon assuming his new role. He acknowledged the solid foundation built by his predecessors and board members, and pledged to continue advancing the Consortium’s mission. By uniting leading academic institutions, government agencies, corporations, and research organizations in the region, the Consortium will continue to serve as a vital platform supporting industry development through academic expertise and technical talent.
