NCHU Announces Recipients of the 29th Distinguished Alumni Award

National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) announced today the results of its 29th Outstanding Alumni Selection, recognizing eight exceptional graduates who have achieved distinction across five domains: academic research, business leadership, public service, arts and culture, and other notable accomplishments. The selection process was conducted by the NCHU Outstanding Alumni Selection Committee, which includes representatives from NCHU and former distinguished alumni. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 1, coinciding with the university’s anniversary celebrations.
Among the honorees, Yang Jo-Chih (writing under the pen name Yang Shuang-Tzu, M.A. in Taiwanese Literature, Class of 2012), recipient of the 75th U.S. National Book Award for Translated Literature, was recognized in the Arts and Culture category for her significant literary achievements.
The Academic Research category, the award goes to Tsai Wen-Cheng (Class of 1967, Department of Plant Pathology), Chairman of Taiwan-America Inspection Technology Co., Ltd.
In the Business Leadership category, honorees include:
• Wu Chia-Feng (EMBA, Class of 2022), Chairman of Greenyn Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
• Lu Hui-Chun (Class of 1980, Department of Accounting, College of Law and Business), Chairperson of Wahsin Technology Corp.
• Lin Cheng-Pin (Class of 1994, Department of Applied Economics), President of Delta Electronics India.
In the Public Service category, the awardees are:
• Wu Ming-Chang (B.S., Class of 1978; M.S., Class of 1985, Department of Food Science), Chairman of Taiwan Sugar Corporation.
• Fu Kuei-Lin (M.S., Class of 2004; Ph.D., Class of 2016, Department of Soil and Water Conservation), Director of the Nantou Branch, Rural Development and Soil and Water Conservation Agency, Ministry of Agriculture.
In the Other Notable Accomplishments category, the award goes to Chan Te-Chuan (Class of 1986, Department of Applied Mathematics), Director of the Information Technology Division, Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
