To promote international exchange and sustainability education, the Office of International Affairs at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) hosted the first session of the 2025 Taiwan Circular Culture Workshop & Enterprise Visit on September 12 under the National University System of Taiwan International Working Circle. A total of 22 students from NCHU, National Changhua University of Education, and National Taiwan University of Sport joined the trip to Nantou to explore craft culture and industrial innovation.

The morning session took place at the Taiwan Craft Cultural Park, where students participated in a semi-precious stone bracelet DIY workshop to learn about the unique characteristics of different stones, they carefully picked their favorites, laughing and sharing as they designed their own creations. A guided tour of the exhibition halls further introduced them to a century of Taiwanese craftsmanship, providing valuable cultural context.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to the Shuter Babbuza Dream Factory, the world’s largest indoor cultural and creative factory, known for its integration of sustainability and innovation. Students first faced the challenge of indoor rock climbing—many were hesitant at the start, but with encouragement from peers, they conquered their fears and proudly reached new heights. The following cultural hall tour and corporate philosophy session gave participants a deeper understanding of how Taiwanese enterprises embody sustainable development and corporate responsibility, bridging theory with practice.

This visit was more than sightseeing—it was an educational and cultural exchange experience. Local and international students from different universities engaged in cross-campus interaction, sharing cultural backgrounds while moving from traditional crafts to enterprise visits, building friendships and mutual understanding along the way. The event reflected the National University System of Taiwan International Working Circle’s commitment to internationalization and sustainability education. It also equipped students with deeper appreciation of Taiwanese culture and industrial innovation, encouraging them to bring these insights back to their campuses and apply them on the global stage.
