To celebrate the upcoming Children’s Day long weekend, the Huisun Experimental Forest Stationis introducing a series of activities that combine nature education with outdoor experiences. Families are invited to step into the forest and enjoy a holiday filled with learning and fun through tree-climbing adventures and environmental exploration.
One of the highlights of this program is the highly popular “Tree-Climbing Experience,” which will be held exclusively from April 3 to April 4. Under the guidance of professional instructors and with full safety equipment provided, children will have the opportunity to climb trees step by step, exploring the forest from different heights. This hands-on activity not only enhances physical coordination and concentration, but also helps build confidence and the courage to face challenges.
In addition to tree climbing, free guided tours led by volunteer docents will be available for individual visitors every morning and afternoon throughout the holiday. Participants will gather at Nenggao Lodge, where experienced volunteers will guide them along forest trails, introducing local flora and fauna as well as sharing stories of the forest. This immersive experience offers families a unique “nature treasure hunt,” allowing learning to extend beyond textbooks and fostering a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability through direct engagement.
The Huisun Experimental Forest Stationnoted that the Children’s Day program is designed to encourage families to spend more time outdoors, reduce screen use, and reconnect with nature while strengthening parent-child bonds. The public is warmly invited to visit Huisun during the holiday, explore the lush greenery, and enjoy an enriching and memorable getaway that combines education with recreation.
