"Remerging Greatness in NCHU Law and Business" Special Exhibition to be Launched on August 20, 2019

National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) held the “Remerging Popularity in NCHU Law and Business "special exhibition opening ceremony on the morning of August 20,2019, in the hope that when alumni students visit their alma mater, they would all enjoy the good memories and the exhibition wall would further bring everyone together and bring back the glory days and the NCHU brand name as a great Law and Business school.
NCHU College of Law and Business was formerly known as "Taiwan Provincial Local Administrative College". It was founded in 1949. In 1950, the "Taiwan Provincial Administrative Staff Training Class" was established. In 1955, "Taiwan Provincial Local Administration College" and "Taiwan Province Administrative Officials Training Class” was merged into the "Taiwan Provincial Law and Business School". In 1961, the Law and Business College and the "Taiwan Provincial Agricultural College" established in Taichung City merged into "Taiwan Provincial Chung Hsing University". In 1971, it was reorganized into "National Chung Hsing University".
In February 2000, the Faculty of Law and Business College was reorganized to become the “National Taipei University”. The Taichung Campus created the "Social Science and Management College". In August 2011, NCHU created its "Law and Politics College”, while “Social Science and Management College” was renamed "Management College".
Fuh-Sheng Shieu(薛富盛), President of NCHU said that this year marks NCHU centennial anniversary and also the 70th anniversary of the establishment of NCHU’s Law and Business college” and it is hence particularly meaningful to launch the special exhibition. Many NCHU alumni have made great achievements in many fields. The two schools have deep historical roots and inseparable relationship. At present, the College of Law and Politics and the College of Management both belong to NCHU’s Law and Business College in the past. In the future, Fuh-Sheng Shieu(薛富盛) said that efforts to be made by faculty members, students and alumni to keep up this brand name.
"Remerging Greatness in National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) Law and Business" Special Exhibition is located at the hall way at the first floor of the NCHU’s Social Science and Management building. The exhibition consists of a variety of graphs, charts and text, and with historical old photos, it aims to present the history of the Chung Hsing Law and Business College and the developments in both the Law and Politics and Management College. Eventually, it is hoped that the exhibition would allow the faculty and students to have a better understanding of this part of the university’s history, and also for the alumni to find a sense of belonging when return to their alma mater.
