Ethiopian Ph.D student's letter to NCHU

I feel very sorry since some days ago due to the wrong claims made by the Ethiopian man, Dr. Tedros who is DG of WHO on the beloved people of Taiwan. He did it blindly without knowing absolute facts how lovely the Taiwanese people are. Being in Taiwan, I am the most appropriate person to speak the truth and can be an eyewitness about the realities in Taiwan that how the people are very special, cooperative to anyone, eager to help someone in need of assistance and they are totally free of any form of racial discrimination.

We have been disappointed by such politicians in my country over the years who only struggle for their political propaganda and I am sure that this is his own personal view and totally mistaken idea. I can ensure you and your people that the people and the politicians are totally different entities in Ethiopia and I see in the social media that several people from Ethiopia are accusing too much Dr. Tedros on the claims he made about Taiwan.

I am sorry for the wrong claims made by WHO General Dr. Tedros Adhanom on the Taiwanese people and he did it without knowing absolute facts how lovely the Taiwanese people are! Being in Taiwan, I can be a real eyewitness how much the people in Taiwan are very special, cooperative to any one, eager to help someone in need of assistance and they are totally free of any racial discrimination because of color or any other form of discrimination! The Taiwan people are very industrious and these people are outstanding and straight forward persons.

In Ethiopia, our people and the government officials are completely different entities! The officials are mostly telling lies and providing obsessed hopes! We are not new to such lies (just like Dr. Tedros did few days ago) from our officials. My University president was speaking to me about making some bilateral agreements with some universities in Taiwan including NCHU and they were discussing how to handle it but I don’t know their upcoming plan since my people have stopped working this time due to the pandemic. For this reason, they have been started making connections with some university officials in Taiwan including you. However, wrong persons like Dr. Tedros are against some development efforts and I hope you understand that his view is personal and don’t represent my people. Moreover, he doesn’t know that Taiwan has been providing several training opportunities even without any diplomatic agreements with the Ethiopian government and we can speak much about this and the people of Taiwan since we are here and breathing the very peaceful atmosphere living with such beloved people! Excuse me, I am somewhat emotional because I know the politicians like him in my country how they are blind to facts!

I LOVE THE PEOPLE OF TAIWAN & THEY DON’T DESERVE TO BE GIVEN SUCH A BAD NAME!
