National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) and Maejo University, Thailand, renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation and exchange program, recognizing the solid 20-year partnership between the two universities in expanding collaborative and exchange opportunities.
National Chung Hsing University has partnered with Maejo University since 2000; Within the past few years, nearly 38 students from Maejo University have taken part in the exchange program to study at NCHU along with six visiting scholars. The partnership has been solid and offered diverse exchange opportunities for both faculty and students from both universities.
The signing ceremony coincided with The 9th GEAR UP Forum and Norman Borlaug Lecture; before the forum’s opening, the MOU was signed by NCHU Vice President Dr. Chang-Hsien Yang and MJU President Dr.Weerapon Thongma; witnessed by experts, panelists and other distinguished guests participating the forum. NCHU Vice President, Dr. Chang-Hsien Yang stated that both universities had been focusing on professional fields such as smart-agriculture, smart agricultural technology, smart animal science and smart rural development, and so forth, further, via the renewal of the MOU, the two universities might initiate feasible declaration afterward. MJU President Dr.Weerapon Thongma said that NCHU and MJU had this precious partnership for over twenty years, especially with a specialty on agricultural technology; through the renewal of the contract, we should commit to facilitating more academic exchanges and enhancing bilateral collaborations.
