NCHU Recognized with Open Access Award for Theses and Dissertations in NCL’s 2023 Taiwan Academic Resources Energy Profile Report

On April 26, National Central Library (NCL) hosted the 2023 Taiwan Academic Resources Energy Profile Report Conference. Professor Hui-Yun Sung, Director of the Library at National Chung-Hsing University (NCHU), attended the conference. The conference unveiled the usage profile of academic journals, theses and dissertations collected by the NCL in 2023, simultaneously acknowledging the contributions of publishing organizations in submitting journals as well as authorization and open access of electronic dissertations.
NCHU distinguished itself among public universities in the 2022 academic year, achieving notable rankings in both the quantity and rate of full-text authorization for electronic theses and dissertations, earning "Theses/Dissertations Open Access Award." This accolade underscores NCHU library’s longstanding commitment to promoting the authorization and open access of full-text electronic theses.
Aligned with NCL’s vision of "dissertation openness and knowledge dissemination," NCHU Library hopes to see increased support from graduate students in facilitating open access to academic resources. By actively authorizing the public release of electronic theses and dissertations, NCHU not only expands its influence in academic research but also plays a role in advancing academic dissemination across Taiwan.
